Build real tools.
For any career.
Starting now.
A 3-month paid apprenticeship in AI and automation — open to students from any major. The skills you build here will make you sharper in whatever field you choose next.
Apply nowThis is not a CS internship.
It's open to anyone who wants to understand how AI and automation actually work — by building with them. Whether you're heading into finance, law, healthcare, design, entrepreneurship, or software, the ability to identify a broken workflow and fix it with a lightweight tool is becoming one of the most valuable skills in any field.
Where past builders have gone
Ops tracking dashboard
QR-based issue reporting, real-time status, SMS alerts to managers.
Front desk SOP copilot
AI-searchable policy and script library. No patient data, immediate value.
Local business tools
Find a real small business with a painful workflow. Solve one problem. Write the case study.
Your best idea, polished
Spend the final sprint turning your strongest build into a portfolio centerpiece.
How the 3 months are structured
Four phases, one rhythm: spec on Monday, ship on Friday, demo at the end of the week. Strong performers are invited to extend to 6 months for deeper portfolio-company work and external pilots.
Foundation (week 1)
Set up your stack, deploy your first app, and ship a polished landing page clone with a Loom walkthrough. One week, one working deliverable.
Data, automation & internal tools (weeks 2–3)
Ingest CSVs, build automations, add an AI feature. One tool per week from a real business workflow. Learn to connect data, move it between systems, and make it useful.
Portfolio-company sprints (weeks 4–10)
Sprint through the portfolio — car wash, dental, pool service, real estate. One problem per company. Real users, real feedback, real stakes.
Capstone & job packaging (weeks 11–12)
Ship your best work. Clean your repos. Write your case studies. Leave with a portfolio that reads like a real product engineer's.
6-month path
Interns who complete the core program and show strong output may be invited to extend. The extended track adds advanced AI & automation weeks, additional portfolio-company sprints, and two external pilot projects with local businesses — building a deeper body of work before launch.
What you leave with
Not a certificate. An actual body of work.
Live portfolio site with 10–12 shipped projects
Clean GitHub profile with documented repos
3 polished case studies with real-user outcomes
8+ Loom demos showing your process
A capstone app you can show in any interview
Resume that reads like a product engineer, not a grad
Compensation
Paid to build, not to watch tutorials.
Who we're looking for
We're hiring 4–6 people. Background matters less than attitude.
- Currently enrolled at University of Utah, BYU, or a comparable program
- Some coding experience — you don't need to be a senior engineer, but you can't be starting from zero
- Comfortable using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) to help you build faster
- Self-directed — you won't wait to be told what to do next
- Curious about how real businesses actually work, not just the tech
- Can commit to 20–40 hours per week for 12 weeks (extension available for strong performers)
